So in February, my younger sister gave birth to a healthy ginger haired little girl named Nova. So obviously…I had to hook her up a blanket! I had recently made a hat with the basket weave stitch which turned out really well and created a really thick and plush fabric so I decided to try it out with a blanket. Most of the blankets I referenced online were all a uniform colour but I wanted to use shades of purple, pink, white and gray. I loved how the colour from the previous row gave a little pop of colour to the next row. I think it created a really interesting textile that looks like it took a lot more work than it actually did!
While trying to get a close up shot of the stitches, Magnets felt as though she needed to make her presence known.
And sometimes it’s just easier to let the cat do what they want.
